About Annah Fox

As a pharmacist of about four years, I have been exposed to a variety of experiences and have grown in many ways as an individual and a pharmacist. After finishing pharmacy school in 2020, I completed my residency in June 2021 and have been working as a hospital pharmacist. I am now exploring employment opportunities in the field of pharmacy. At this time, I am a licensed pharmacist in the state of Maryland and New York, but in the future, I am open to becoming licensed in other states. I am currently employed at Atlantic General Hospital (AGH) and I also help staff the Regional Cancer Care Center Both of these areas include operational functions as well as clinical. I serve on various committees including Pharmacy Leadership, Stroke, Sunrise Super Users, and Pathway to Excellence. Day to day functions include entering orders by physicians, dispensing medications, supervising technicians, answering drug related questions, performing medication education, and completing as needed projects in the pharmacy. I am also the clinical pharmacist on call every other week to answer questions that the operational pharmacist at the time cannot answer. Prior to working at AGH, I completed my PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Albany Medical Center. My rotations were in a variety of specialties, and as a result, I have been exposed to the following areas: anticoagulation stewardship, cardiac care unit, cystic fibrosis clinic, hematology/oncology, infectious diseases stewardship, internal medicine, medical intensive care unit, pediatrics, transplant, and surgical intensive care unit. In my rotations, I’ve had the experiences of rounding with the team, performing medical reconciliation, providing patient education, answering drug information questions, completing discharge reconciliations, and evaluating patient profiles to assess appropriateness of therapy. These experiences across multiple specialties have given me a broad exposure across the vast field of clinical pharmacy.
