About Annakate Williams

My passion for teaching theatre is a double delight, as it joins my love of theatre with my joy in working with children. With my many years of experience in childcare and education, I have developed the skills and ability to instill and cultivate both knowledge and a love of theatre in my students. I have a high level of energy that is infectious and is an asset in bonding with children. I have written and developed curriculum to teach acting, movement, and creative dance. I am dedicated to creating a positive, fun atmosphere for the students and committed to ensuring each child has an uplifting and empowering endeavor. I have also taught adult classes and worked with a senior theatre group, applying and adjusting my processes according to the age group with which I am working. I have witnessed the most poignant moments of theatre come when people discover the power of their own creativity- First to hold the position of Music and Movement Director at Bright Beginnings, designing and managing the creation of two new programs: Music and Movement program and Creative Dance program- First to hold the position of Education and Volunteer Coordinator at Anchorage Community Theatre, establishing and maintaining a network of volunteers. Envisioned and built an education program as an outreach to the community- First to hold the position of Administrator at Midnight Sun Cakery, creating systems to streamline communications and more accurately track information.
