About Anne Black

As Founding Director at The Warrior Connection, I am part of a group of civilian and retired military individuals passionate about bringing new methods of healing to combat veterans nationwide. As a community-based initiative, The Warrior Connection offers residential retreats and training programs. These programs fill a gap in the existing veteran care system, create a safe haven for small groups of combat veterans (and their families) from all military operations to further healing using a complementary set of evidence-based processes designed to mitigate loss, decrease suicides, reduce PTSD, depression and anxiety, and to improve intimate relationships. During retreats, attendees increase inner resources for advancing mental, emotional, social, and spiritual heal­ing—with the goal of reconnecting with that inner place untouched by trauma, loss, and pain. While The Warrior Connection is headquartered in Vermont, the Program is integrated and directly implemented in communities across the nation, under the authority of local veteran support groups and licensed clinicians. This allows these integrative retreat programs to reach as many veterans as possible.as quickly as possible.
