About Anne Darrow

Dr. Anne Darrow is a Breast Imaging Fellow at the University of Chicago. Dr. Darrow earned a BA in Anthropology at the University of California at Berkeley and an MA in education at the University of Southern California. She managed health & wellness programs for middle and high school students for a decade before returning to medical school. She is committed to community activism and women's health and has been a volunteer domestic violence counselor since 2006. Dr. Darrow earned her MD at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She is passionate about promoting health equity and working with underserved groups, especially the LGBTQIA+ and Hispanic communities. She served a 2 year term as President of the Chicago Radiological Society Resident & Fellow Section. She is a Chair of the American Association of Women in Radiology Member in Training Section & of the Women & Diversity Advisory Committee of the American College of Radiology, Resident & Fellows Section. She serves on the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Alliance for the Society of Breast Imaging and the Gender Diversity Workgroup for the American College of Radiology. Dr. Darrow lives in Evanston, IL with her spouse and 2 children.
