About Anne Driscoll
Anne Driscoll began her career as a social worker counseling troubled girls before switching to journalism. An award-winning reporter, she was a columnist for the Boston Globe and has covered stories for the New York Times, People, Teen People, Huffington Post, Health, Real Simple, and CosmoGirl. She was also a prized public relations executive at Teak Media Communications getting her clients into the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Financial Times, Investor’s Daily, NPR Here and Now, New England Cable News, Fox News before launching her own public relations firm. Since 2006, she has been the senior reporter at the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism at Brandeis University investigating wrongful convictions for the Justice Brandeis Innocence Project. In September 2013, she was selected as a US Fulbright scholar to work with the Irish Innocence Project at Griffith College in Dublin, conduct a research project on the causes of wrongful convictions in Ireland, and lecture law and journalism students at Griffith College about wrongful convictions. In and she wrote a series of three guidebooks for young girls called Girl to Girl: The Real Deal on Being a Girl Today, Girl to Girl: Friends and You, and Girl to Girl: Sports and You. She also contributed to Talk to Me by David Topus, published by John Wiley & Sons in 2012, 101 Careers in Social Work, published by Springer Publishing Company in 2008, to Writing in the Works, published by Houghton Mifflin in 2007, and to Women’s Health and Wellness 2005, published by Oxmoor House. She has presented her research on gender development and relationships to audiences in England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and the US. Specialties: In every aspect of her work as a journalist, author, speaker and publicist, she uses her background as a reporter and her experience in human services as a state-licensed social worker towards her goal of making a difference in the world, one story at a time.
