About Anne Grady

I'm an experienced music educator searching for employment opportunities based on my expertise as an Orchestra Director, Acoustic Guitar Teacher, EC Music Appreciation Teacher, and Performing Arts Administrator. In addition to teaching performance ensembles, I have successfully taught AP Music Theory, was an AP Music Theory College Board Reader, and created AP Music Theory content for an online course. Over the past few years, I've developed and taught a course for EC students by incorporating music education concepts by Kodaly and Orff. Throughout my career, I've implemented a variety of learning platforms and music technology in all of my classes. I particularly enjoy creating multimedia projects based on programmatic aspects of a composition. In addition to being a life-long learner, I'm committed to assisting my colleagues. In February of 2022 and 2023, I hosted the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Honor Orchestra Clinic at Rocky River High School. I'm also an adjudicator for regional and state orchestra auditions, support area teachers working with exceptional children, and coach teachers as they prepare for PRAXIS tests. My leisure time is spent gardening and traveling to visit family and friends.
