Anne Hofmann is the Chair of the English & Humanities department and a Professor of English at Frederick Community College where she teaches a variety of writing-intensive courses that center the construction of gender, race, and class in America. Her teaching career spans two decades and three states in K-12 through university classroom settings, and her research explores the gendered intersections of motherhood, race, and the labor politics of public education access. Anne has been recognized as a national leader in student-parent education and has earned both the FCC Michael D. Boyd Memorial Faculty Award and the Dr. Carol Eaton Innovation Award. Additionally, Anne has facilitated many community public humanities conversations on varying topics within American cultural studies. She also conducts professional development sessions on structural change and global antiracism in teaching, learning, parenting, and being.
