Background

About Anne Kraus

For two years, I was a public policy and advocacy manager at PROMO, Missouri's statewide LGBTQ+ advocacy organization. In this role, I have worked with diverse stakeholders, including legislators, media, and community partners, to advance the rights and well-being of LGBTQ+ people in Missouri. I have also led and supported multiple campaigns, initiatives, and events that promote LGBTQ+ visibility, inclusion, and empowerment. Before joining PROMO, I was a high school counselor at Fern Ridge High School for two and a half years, where I provided academic, career, and personal counseling to students from various backgrounds and needs. I have a master's degree in counselor education and a certification in school counseling, as well as a certification in teaching with technology. I am passionate about youth mentoring, student counseling, and career counseling, and I am currently a board member at The Soulard School, a progressive and independent school in St. Louis. My mission is to make a positive impact in the lives of all those I reach, and to help them discover and embrace their love, strength, and value.
