About Anne M. Kohl

I am an independent, career oriented individual, who is interested in career advancement and self improvement within a challenging environment. As the Executive Director of Finance and Operations at Mount St. Mary Academy, I lead and manage all aspects of the financial, business, human resource, and technology functions of the school. With over 28 years of experience in this role, I have developed a strong expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, accounting, reporting, compliance, and risk management. I also oversee the building and grounds department, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the school community. I am an integral part of the school leadership team, which allows me to both manage day to day operations as well as strategize for the future. In tandem with my role in finance and operations, I hold an Adjunct Professor position at Daemen University, where I instruct Corporate Finance and Computer Studies & Problem Solving courses. My educational background includes a BS from Canisius University, an MS Ed. in Secondary Education from Canisius University, and an Advanced Certificate in Educational Technology from the University at Buffalo. I believe that people are the most important aspect of any company and I am passionate about building positive and productive relationships with other members of the organization while fostering a culture of respect and inclusion for all. Giving back to our community through several volunteer activities has been an importatn aspect of my life. As a volunteer with the SPCA Serviing Erie County Paws For Love program, my Labrador Retriever and I volunteer as a therapy team throughout Western New York. You can often find us at a local library helping new readers learn to read without stress or judgement, or at the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Explore & More Children's Museum on AUSOME Kids night. We are a regular team at the Buffalo Airport as well as various stress-relief sessions at our local colleges and universities. Additionally, I am a docent with Explore Buffalo and have a passion for learning about and sharing our local history with fellow Western New Yorkers as well as visitors to our region.
