Background

About Anne Marr

My ‘AHA!’ moment came early in my career when a former boss sat me down one day and said ‘Anne, you have strong decision-making skills which will never be utilised here!’ I vowed from that point on to never work for a company that didn’t bring me joy. And it also reinforced my belief in my own abilities. I was recruited for my first job of Office Assistant when I was 15 years old, and it was there where I soon realised the importance of and the joy in customer service. My career developed through jobs such as Burger King cashier, cross-country ski instructor, recruiter, Russian translator/interpreter (yes, I have a degree in Russian language), Customer Service Manager.(and a move from Michigan to England to marry the love of my life)….to my current role where I continue to find joy in HR, executive support, leadership, customer service, project management, event management, solving problems and creating operational efficiencies.
