About Anne McKibbin

With almost 20 years of experience leading, developing, and supporting policy proposals, serving as an expert witness, and advising clients, I bring a knowledgeable and collaborative approach to managing projects and guiding policy strategy that protects people and the planet. After earning my Masters in Economics and JD, I entered the energy field by serving as a Senior Policy Analyst and Attorney with Illinois' Citizens Utility Board, working as a consumer advocate. At the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, I enjoyed helping environmental and consumer advocates focus their efforts effectively so that they could spread best practices across the Midwest. I then spent 14 years leading the policy team at Elevate, where I developed and implemented legislative and regulatory policy and advocacy initiatives related to equitable clean energy, building electrification, clean drinking water, and workforce development programs. One of my biggest successes was helping our Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition pass the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act in 2020. Currently, I am serving as Vice President of The Accelerate Group, helping States and local governments to stand up new innovative clean energy, workforce, and economic development programs. When I’m not immersed in clean energy projects, you can find me hiking the red rock canyons of southern Utah or jogging oh-so-slowly up and down the lakefront in Chicago.
