About Anne Mize

Anne Mize & Associates provides coaching services for nonprofit professionals. I work with Executive Directors and staff of a variety of nonprofit group from arts groups to conservation groups. I have over twenty years of experience in the not-for-profit and philanthropic fields. As an organizational development and educational consultant, I have worked with community groups in Africa, private foundations, and not-for-profit agencies. My varied experiences on the African continent contribute to my global perspective on fundraising and strategic planning for my clients. I have served on the boards of African Wildlife Foundation, FINCA International, Progressive Animal Welfare Society, and Wildlife Media. I also serve as the President of the Mize Family Foundation in Seattle, Washington, which focuses on the impacts of climate change on human and wildlife communities and global educational initiatives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology, specializing with youth and families since 1980, and have done extensive research in youth leadership in Southern Africa and the western United States. As a published poet and essayist, I serve as an artist in residence for the Shoreline Arts Council.
