About Anne S.

I have been with working in education for over 15 years. I currently serve as the CEE Graduate Programs Coordinator Senior at the University of Michigan where I manage hundreds of student accounts, graduate student hiring and funding, process annual graduate admissions and provide data analysis for large amounts of current and historical data. I exam these reports to look for new and shifting trends. Data analysis, data mining and building complex reports for CEE Graduate Committee review are among my favorite job duties. Previously, I held the position of Master Schedule Builder for a large high school in Camas, Washington. My duties including programing the Skyward Information Systems software with course builds, section meets, teacher schedules and student schedules. Additional duties included data mining Skyward and querying results with discipline records across neighboring high schools looking for trends, red flag warnings, state testing scores and GPAs. While raising my children, I served as a full time parent volunteer. My volunteer work includes teaching literacy and mathematics in the K-5 classroom, fund raising for teaching supplies and equipment. I also organized large fund raising events including Move-A-Thon, Silent Auction/Carnivals and middle school Halloween (costume) Dance parties. I have raised thousands of dollars with 100% of the proceeds being reinvested in teacher classrooms for classroom libraries and school supplies. The most significant contributions the fund raising efforts made included purchasing mobile bleacher for the music programs as well as a sound system for the local middle school lunch room.
