About Anne Sayer

Having moved up to Orkney in June 2024 I am now working as a project officer at EMEC. I also create and coordinate projects that promote community resilience and sustainability. In particular, I am proud to have set up and launched a thriving Repair Café in Havant, Hampshire as well as the county’s first Library of Things. Havant’s Library Things is located at a formerly redundant space at the Rail Station where I also project managed the refurbishment, bringing a space that was empty for several years back into use for the local community. I have juggled a varied career which includes assessing events and festivals for their sustainability with A Greener Festival since 2019; and writing, editing and proofreading on various projects for over two decades. Passionate about helping people cycle more everyday I qualified as a Bikeability Instructor in 2022, and launched my own cycle training enterprise Cycling With Anne. I specialise in teaching adults who never had the opportunity to learn to cycle or people who face particular barriers to cycling. I am a great project manager who combines big picture vision with attention to detail when setting up new initiatives. New ventures excite me, and I am keen to work with people who are delivering sustainable projects that benefit the environment and local communities.
