About Anne van de Loo

I am currently pursuing my Master's in Drug Innovation at the University of Utrecht. This path was a natural choice for me because I'm deeply driven by the desire to contribute to the development of novel medications that have the power to cure, prevent, or significantly improve the quality of life for patients around the world. But that's not all! In my quest to make a broader impact, I've also embarked on a fascinating side track in Science Communication. The motivation behind this choice stemmed from a realization that the pharmaceutical industry and its research can often seem challenging to grasp for the general population. It is my firm belief that in order to maximize the positive impact of this remarkable research, we must bridge the gap between science and society. With this in mind, I eagerly took the opportunity to intern at Amgen, a prominent name in the world of biotechnology. My goal for this internship is clear – to learn, to understand, and to communicate.
