About Anneka Barrow

As a dynamic and dedicated professional, I work to problem solve, innovate, and co-create in sustainable ways for stakeholders. As a Family Outreach Supervisor at Reach Dane, I work with staff to approach their case management in a way that is trauma-informed, family-centered, and reflective. Additionally, I serve on some Collective Leadership groups that are looking to make meaningful, lasting change by reimagining what the system can be. After receiving my MA in 2021, I found a passion for rethinking what work and wellness can be and how the two co-exist. Following the change theory, Theory U, I was able to really hone in on and challenge what wellness means to people (myself included) and how innovation can serve as a tool to make lasting change when we look at the roles self, other, and system play to have a multi-faceted approach. Prior to my work at Reach Dane, I served as a recruiter for the ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission program after a transformative year spent in Tlaxcala, Mexico where I fostered relationship between partners in the US and Mexico while working at a shelter for Central American migrants and became fully proficient in Spanish language and gained cultural awareness of Latin America through a year of full immersion.
