About Annel Hagerman

Hello! My name is Annel Hagerman and I am the Special education (ACCESS) instructional coach for all of the self-contained classrooms in Bibb county. I started my educational career as a High School Spanish teacher, substitute teacher, then a paraprofessional in special education, literacy coach K-5, then a special education teacher (K-5) in a self-contained classroom (all whilst working on my M.A.T Sped). I held that position for 5 years until being promoted to instructional coach. I also enjoy the added responsibilities such as being a trainer for HLP (High Leverage Practices). I received my Specialist degree in Special Education from the University of West Georgia and am also a member of the Assessment Advisory Council of Georgia. I am extremely passionate about coaching, training, Autism education, teaching our modified curriculum, communication strategies for our students with disabilities, technology, and just the field of teaching and special education overall. I love coming to work to fulfill my calling in this field!
