I have a very diverse background, starting in the Performing Arts World - With over 9 years of experience as a Lead Performer, Assistant Choreographer, and Dance Instructor, I developed solid verbal and non-verbal communication skills, which came in handy when I took my first job as an English Teacher in Southern China. Teaching in a foreign country really gave me confidence, not just with managing large groups of people (my classrooms often being up to 60+ students), but in communicating in a multi-lingual setting. I came back to the States to teach Preschool, but my love of the Special Needs community quickly drew me into a job with DCSD as a Paraprofessional EA. During the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020, I took a break and got my UX/UI certificate, but wasn’t quite sure where I wanted to go next. I wanted to find a company where I could make a real difference. It took me two more years before I found Two Maids, quickly working my way up to Office Manager.
