About Annette King

Annette is an experienced company director, chair, committee chair, former CEO, founder and actuary. Her passion is building businesses with sustainable growth through differentiated client experience and digital/technology/data enablement. She has international experience – 20 years of her career has been in Australia/New Zealand and 14 years in Asia (based in Singapore and Hong Kong with both in-country and region-wide responsibilities, and continues to work with Asian as well as Australia and New Zealand businesses). Annette has worked for large multi-national companies (Swiss Re, AXA, Manulife, Mercer) with a focus on client experience, culture, innovation and business enablement via digital, data/AI and technology enablement in businesses that are growing rapidly. Annette has CEO, Responsible Officer and C-suite experience leading Significant Financial Institutions. Her expertise includes: Growth or turn-around businesses. Annette is a change agent, with major transformation experience. Her roles have included CEO and General Manager with P&L responsibility, CFO, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, VP of Client Centricity, actuary, entrepreneur. Her expertise spans strategy, client centricity, marketing, digital, Data, AI and technology, product management, finance, operations and risk management. This experience includes acquisitions and integrations, divestment and restructuring. She has held directorships for 20 years in financial services organizations in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, with 9 years as a non-executive director. She was Chair and President of the Australian Actuaries Institute, Chair and President of the Life Insurance Association for Singapore during a significant review of regulations (FAIR), has been a council member for the Singapore Actuarial Society, member of the Hong Kong Advisory Committee of AICD and now a member of AICD’s APRA Forum. She is a qualified actuary and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Annette is a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW).
