About Anni Persson

Graduated with an MSc in Psychology, with a Master Thesis in Cognitive Neuroscience. This accomplishment builds upon my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. During my time at UBC, I had the privilege of working as a research assistant at the Centre for Infant Cognition for three years. Here, I built my skills in recruitment, data collection, and data analysis. A highlight was securing a summer internship to work on a longitudinal project investigating infant social moral behavior. For my master’s thesis, I explored Memory Integration, studying how we connect memory events. This project involved recruiting over 100 participants and deepened my appreciation for the intricate workings of human cognition. Currently, I work as a Safer Gaming Analyst in Malta, where I conduct in-depth analyses of customer gambling behavior to ensure responsible gaming practices. Through personalized interactions, I assess risk patterns, provide tailored interventions, and help promote sustainable gaming habits. This role has strengthened my analytical skills and reinforced my commitment to problem-solving in people-focused environments. Beyond academia, I've gained valuable experience in the service industry, working in restaurants and stores. These roles enhanced my communication, customer interaction, and organizational skills. Having lived in Asia, North America, and Europe, I bring a multicultural perspective to my work. This diverse background drives my passion for engaging with people from various cultures and backgrounds. Looking forward to leveraging my research expertise, analytical skills, and global experience to contribute to impactful projects and collaborations.
