About Annie Brown

Annie is a creative young woman in the early stages of her career. Annie graduated with a First-Class Honours BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies in 2021, and earned a College Gold Medal from Mary Immaculate College in recognition of her stellar academic achievements. Annie's theatrical interests are wide-ranging and ever-evolving. Having begun her theatre career as a performer, Annie has continued to perform in various productions as well as cutting her teeth behind the scenes. Annie has worked as a Stage Manager, a Director, and a Production Assistant in the past, as well as finding frequent work as a Choreographer due to several years of dance training. Most recently, Annie was selected as a Young Curator by the Lime Tree Theatre, and she is looking forward to curating an arts festival in Limerick throughout 2023 and 2024. Annie has also utilised her natural proclivity towards leadership and management to work as both Academic Coordinator (2019) and Assistant Residential Coordinator (2023) with the Centre for Talented Youth of Ireland. Annie’s interpersonal skills and desire to go above and beyond have allowed her to experience success in these roles and to seek further employment in the area of project coordination. Annie has also seen success as a writer over the past year. In 2022, Annie published a poem in "Fear-Less", an anthology by The Poetry Co-Operative in aid of Jigsaw Youth Mental Health Services. Following this, Annie was selected by the Irish Writer's Centre as a Young Writer Delegate for the Dublin Book Festival. In 2023, Annie was commissioned by William Keohane, the editor of Poetry Ireland's "Trumpet 12" to review a recent poetry collection by Molly Twomey.
