About Annie Edmonds

Annie is an experienced cross-cultural educator, consultant and project officer with a diverse career spanning over 20 years. Dynamic and creative, Annie is skilled at engaging with a variety of modalities and working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. With qualifications in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Annie has worked at Melbourne Polytechnic and The Gordon TAFE teaching migrant and refugee adult students and also as a volunteer at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC). Annie is an experienced education consultant, previously working as a learning advisor with the Victorian Aboriginal Education Association Incorporated (VAEAI) Koorie Outreach Support Program (KOSP). Annie is also a yoga instructor experienced at facilitating sessions in the aged care and community health sectors. Most recently, Annie has worked with the peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education and training in Victoria as the Victorian Schools Building Authority (VSBA) senior project officer. This is a multi-layered role encompassing conceptualisation of processes and procedures, collecting and reporting data and organising and facilitating community cultural consultations for all new government school buildings, school upgrade projects and Early Learning Centres across Victoria to deliver culturally safe and inclusive educational spaces.
