About Annie Everett

Annie Everett has been currently working as an academic success coach within the department of Transition Studies since Fall 2018. This position includes instructing freshman students in FYE course Making Connections during the fall semester, and Success Strategies course during the Spring semester. She serves as an advisor until a major has been officially declared for her students. The role also includes coaching students admitted through transition studies conditional with skills for academic success. Annie is an Alumni of Arkansas State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work in May 2014. Then completed the Advance Standing Master of Social Work program in May 2016 with a certificate in Addiction Studies. Annie is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of Arkansas. Annie brings with her over eight years of social work experience varying from child welfare stipend recipient, child welfare worker with DCFS (Division of Children and Family Services), Behavioral health hospital internship, school-based mental health professional, and hospital social worker. Annie is someone who cares about motivating, inspiring, and assisting others in need. I also have leadership experience in numerous organizations listed below at Arkansas State University. The leadership experience ranges from volunteer to President positions. I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work as a Distinguish Graduate. This award is awarded to five outstanding graduates based on leadership, academic, and Character.
