I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University and am an alumna of the University of Illinois where I received my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am passionate about serving the Oncology population, and believe every patient with a cancer diagnosis should receive physical therapy. I have treated patients across the cancer care continuum, with emphasis on post-operative rehab and chronic lymphedema following breast cancer treatment, as well as managing side effects related to disease progression and chemotherapy treatment for a range of diagnoses. Clinical Skills: Orthopedic: I have focused on evidence based treatment incorporating mobility, strength, and movement adaptations as a foundation to treat various orthopedic needs in many patient populations. Neurologic: I have experience in treating a variety of neurological impairments as a result of brain cancer and neurological deficits following chemotherapy treatment. I focus on prognostic factors to determine the need for compensatory strategies to reduce impairment. Manual Therapy: I have extensive manual therapy skills including trigger point release, soft tissue massage, myofascial release, manual lymph drainage, and functional dry needling. Leadership-During my time as the Community Service Representative for the Class of 2022 at Regis University, I led and organized an inaugural event with Porter Billups Leadership Academy, or PBLA, which is an organization that provides academic and leadership training to at-risk inner city students in the Denver area. The goal of this event was to introduce the profession of physical therapy to elementary through high school aged kids who may not have access to physical therapy services or knowledge of the physical therapy profression-At the University of Illinois I served as team captain for the varsity softball team from 2017-2019. I led teammates through motivational communication and relationship building to establish and uphold core values of our team and program. I honed my ability to address conflict constructively, ensure personal accountability, and prioritize relationships.
