Good Interpersonal, Problem Solving and Communication Skills – Served for 5 years as a cabin crew and got promoted to be a cabin crew leader for the rest of the time at Scoot. Among other things, I have to rely on my quick thinking and interpersonal skills to manage difficult passengers and situation that can escalate quickly. I was also awarded Stewardess of the Year for my performance, receiving numerous compliment letters from passengers over my five years at Scoot. Situational Skills – More than the above, as a cabin crew leader, I am the leader of a team of 9 cabin crews for flights on Boeing, a team of 4 on a320. which requires me to have great situational skills. Team Oriented – Job as cabin crew requires significant coordination and teamworking skills especially so since the crew set is different for each flight. Effectively trilingual – Native language is Mandarin while English and Russian were acquired through studies. My time in Singapore has also allowed me to gain competence in both Singlish and Singaporean Mandarin. Highly adaptable – Studied in the U.S. for three months, spent one years in Russia as an exchange student completing my degree in Russian language and Literature, and worked in Singapore for over five years.
