We transform tourists into insiders who feel connected with a country and its people. Travelers on our journeys are able to be present and immerse themselves in the local cultures as we manage all the logistics, itineraries, and hassles of travel. Our personal relationships give guests intimate experiences such as meeting the cows on a small family-owned dairy farm, sipping tea in a traditional ceremony in a local home, learning how to roll pasta with a chef, cruising a jungle river with a local who navigates it every day. When travel restrictions limited our ability to connect in person during COVID, we continued building our global community and supporting friends and partners abroad by hosting live, virtual cooking classes with our chefs and friends from around the world. You can learn how to make a traditional dish from Italy, Peru, Japan, and beyond.all from the comfort of your own kitchen. The kitchen and food has always been a lens through which I've seen culture on my travels. My love affair with travel began at age 13 when my parents took me out of the U.S. for the first time. When I woke up in a thatched-roof hut with elephants and giraffes just steps away, everything changed. During our three week trip I absorbed everything like a sponge. I was intrigued by all the new foods and flavors. But most of all, I was fascinated by the people I met. Their lives were so different than mine, and yet somehow so similar at the same time. Since then I haven't stopped exploring. I studied abroad in Chile, volunteered in Kenya, chased love in Israel, competed for my dream job in the United Arab Emirates, and blogged about my adventures on a 6-month Round the World Trip. I founded The Table Less Traveled to unite people through shared experiences. It's easy to find Machu Picchu, the Colosseum, or a good pizza restaurant. What's more difficult to uncover is the people whose stories and passion bring their culture to life.
