About Annika Levaggi
Annika's research is focused at the intersection of food sovereignty, land management, climate change resilience, and alternative education. Originally from California, Annika's projects are based in Chilean Patagonia, where she works as an ECOS Lab affiliate. Annika is a Fulbright Scholar, earned her BSc from UC Berkeley in Environmental Science and Food Systems, and is currently a graduate student at the University of British Columbia’s Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability. She has previously worked for the Berkeley Food Institute, UC Berkeley Agroecology Lab, and PUC Chile’s Centro de Desarrollo Local on projects related to socio-ecology. Otherwise, you can find her in the mountains. Either teaching for NOLS or Outward Bound, or on a climbing expedition of her own!
