About Annika McDowell

As a multi-faceted professional, my passion lies in conducting, analyzing and making recommendations on health research by presenting information in a way that allows individuals and organizations to make evidence informed decisions. Fascinated by health and nutrition research, I have contributed to several peer-reviewed articles on sensory food research, influences of childhood memories on eating and physical activity, and experiences of undocumented immigrants’ access to healthcare in Canada.For the past three years, I have developed and facilitated over a dozen interactive workplace wellness sessions using principles of adult teaching and learning. Through these workshops, I help people learn and incorporate topics such as intuitive eating, plant-based eating and eating for mental health into their daily lives. I’m also an avid learner and daily exerciser passionate about policy analysis, workplace well-being and health promotion initiatives. Looking forward to connecting!
