About Annika Smith

I’m passionate about using communication to make public health more responsive, inclusive, and effective. I believe public health works best when we meet people where they are at and provide the materials and education they need to make informed choices. I have a strong passion for sexual and reproductive health and am committed to advancing equity in this area through clear and compassionate communication. Whether I’m writing about reproductive rights, designing outreach materials, or supporting community health campaigns, I focus on clarity, empathy, and impact. At the heart of it, public health is about trust. I am dedicated to building that trust by showing up, listening, and making sure people feel seen and supported. Outside of work, I love to travel, am a language nerd, and enjoy discovering hidden foodie gems around Buffalo and beyond. Good food and good company are some of my favorite ways to recharge.
