About Annika Stein
Welcome, this is Annika Stein, a physicist at JGU Mainz, and a member of the ATLAS Collaboration at CERN. With a PhD in experimental particle physics, M. Sc. in astroparticle physics and B.Ed. in mathematics/physics/educational sciences (thesis: algebra), I would describe myself as a generalist who enjoys problem solving and mentoring students. I‘m happy that I can apply these skills in the context of physics data analysis and algorithm development, and combining this with lab work for the next generation particle detectors, supervision and lecturing in higher education. Currently, I am co-leading an analysis team in the ATLAS Exotics group and convener of the Top Reconstruction group. Further, I act as a database contact for the HGTD project.
