About Annika Stott

I am passionate about finding better solutions to tackle our waste crisis. My work focuses on purpose-driven projects that deliver better outcomes for planet and people. I have over 12 years experience solving complex sustainability challenges with a focus on soft plastics, food waste, circular economy and behavioural change. My experience enables me to effectively communicate and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, deliver large scale multifacted sustainability programs and projects, manage significant budgets, manage agencies and consultants, develop behaviour change programs and lead advocacy strategy and planning. One of the career achievements I am most proud is the food waste research and campaign I delivered as OzHarvest's Sustainability Strategist. Working with the behavioural change team at BehaviourWorks Australia we developed an 'Impact Likelihood' Matrix for food waste behaviours. This research informed the design and development of a large national campaign designed to empower people to 'Use It Up' and the production of the 'Use It Up' tape designed to make it easy to waste less food. Another career moment I am proud of is working closely with and supporting REDcycle during the soft plastic crisis in 2022. This was an incredibly challenging time for all involved. Professionally and personally, I grew from this experience and learnt many valuable career and life lessons. I hold a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce and Post Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management and Sustainability. I am a fellow of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership (Alumni 2013).
