About Anning Dou

I’m a bilingual clinician (LMHC candidate) with a Master’s in Clinical Counseling and over five years of experience across diverse behavioral health settings. My work spans home- and community-based services, outpatient care, and inpatient forensic psychiatry, where I’ve supported individuals living with serious mental illness. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive, with a deep commitment to equity and access in mental health care. I’ve worked closely with children, youth, and families through CBHI services, and also with adults navigating complex psychiatric and legal systems. These experiences have strengthened my skills in risk assessment, care coordination, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration. I’m also passionate about team development and have supported clinical interns and staff in providing high-quality, client-centered care. Whether in direct practice or systems-level support, I strive to build trust, promote healing, and advocate for those historically underserved in mental health spaces.
