About Anouk Ooms

Empowering everyone in the world to shine from their own strength is my motto in life. I believe in a fair and equal world where everyone’s voice is heard. Throughout my professional career, I have kept this motto at heart and belief by challenging the status quo and bringing positive change. My roots lie in the consultancy world where I managed big legal projects as a business consultant. I spread my wings when I moved to Uganda to develop a successful program in primary education that breaks through structures that maintain dependency in the NGO sector. I amplified my vision through my political career as a Board member of Volt Europa and ran for the European Elections. Now I work as a senior policy advisor diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for the Dutch Banking Association with the main priority to challenge systems that have discriminatory effect and stigmatizing impact and work to a truly inclusive banking sector.
