About Anre Weststrate

I am an admitted Advocate in the High Court of South Africa and I am currently Company Secretary at Gold Fields Limited. I have previously been the Company Secretary at the JSE Listed Evraz Highveld Steel and Vanadium Limited until 29 February 2016 and SekelaXabiso, a private company and Audit and Advisory firm until 31 March 2020. I have 25 years training and experience in several fields of law, of which Criminal law, Companies Law, Environmental Law and Mining Law and Compliance, as well as Mine and Occupational Health and Safety Law and Contract Law and all its associated areas of regulation are the most significant. I am a winner and achiever and the fact that I have completed several Comrades Marathons, hold provincial colours in several disciplines of sport, and taking into account my professional career, it is evident that I add value wherever I am involved. It is my passion to make a difference in whichever position I am at and when I close my office door behind me, it should be with a sense of achievement, not only having made a difference in the office, but also having touched the life of at least one person for that day."We should not merely be breathing the air with which we greet every new day created by God, we should touch the lives of everyone we leave behind with a memory of the greatness and the glory of Him that created us"
