About Anshuman D.

Anshuman is a filmmaker and multimedia artist from Dehradun, India. He studied film at the National Institute of Design, India along with undertaking brief courses at the Film & Television Institute of India. His independent work is a continuing discourse on the socio-political realities of his time while being explorative in the comprehension and application of moving image as a medium. He is very passionate about innovations in the medium and their effect on the act of narrative building and content dissemination. His directorial projects have played at several international film festivals including People of Color: The International Cultural Exchange - 2020, USA, accordi @ DISACCORDI International Short Film Festival - 2019, Italy, 60 Second Short Film Fest - 2021, USA and International Kolkata Short Film Festival - 2021, India. He has worked as a writer, director, cinematographer and producer on several independent fiction and non-fiction projects. His commercial work operates in the realm of new media interventions like VR filmmaking and experimental fashion films. The common thread along his diverse body of work is a unyielding drive to achieve narrative building prowess through academic rigour and consistent labour.
