Welcome to my LinkedIn profile! My name is Anshuman Pramanick and I am a Textile Designer, Educator, Career Counsellor in Design, Design Mentor, and Entrepreneur. I currently serve as a Design faculty at BRDS and have over 7 years of experience in the field of design, with 3 years in the industry in Europe and Japanese segments and 4 years in academics. During my academic years, I gained recognition for my challenging approach towards projects. In the industry, I helped numerous brands strategize their business by introducing technical textiles and sustainable clothing into their mainline productions. I have consulted for leading brands such as H&M, Zara, Massimo Dutti, Uniqlo, S. Oliver, Timberland, etc. By working end to end with some of the renowned Textiles Mills of India, I contributed to the success of these brands. Apart from my work in the industry, I am also passionate about imparting my knowledge and expertise to aspiring designers. I conduct workshops and training sessions on various topics such as What is Design? How to Be Creative? Future of Design, Handloom Weaving, Print Making, etc. These sessions are conducted at corporate as well as on cluster levels. As a guest lecturer at several renowned universities in India, I have shared my insights and experiences with students, inspiring them to think creatively and out of the box. Curriculum development and improvising are some of my core strengths. Served as a Faculty and Cluster In Charge (To promote Craft Sectors of India) to teach Design and Graphic subjects, which includes theory and practical lectures. Design Understanding, Fashion Basics, Traditional Indian Textiles, EOD, POD, Art and Graphics, Digital Presentation Techniques, Visual Merchandising, and Graduation Project Collection Development are the core subjects that I deliver. In addition to my professional pursuits, I am also a co-founder of a startup named Galat Sangat. Our mission is to teach and learn the century-old craft of weaving, encouraging a slow, meditative, and mindful way of life. Our brand is not about being an anarchist or a rule breaker, but rather taking a path less traveled and being different from the crowd. We are rebels with a cause, here to create, teach, and learn. I am a founder of DUNIC-Develop Unique Notion In Creativity, a self-grown space, to develop an eco-system where students can therapeutically learn art and design.
