About Anson Cheng

For the past 9 years, my professional background has been in sales and leadership roles. Though, my academic background is actually in science. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a major in biochemistry and molecular biology as well as a minor in psychology. My sales background started with door-to-door sales. Possessing 5 years of experience in the door-to-door industry, it taught me the foundation I needed to be an excellent sales person but also an effective sales trainer. I sold products from telecomm to smart home automations to marketing services to home security. This is also when I started my own company and ran the sales operation within it for several years until COVID happened. Eventually I left this field to pursue more of a corporate, B2B sales environment. I joined Agro Meats as a commodity trader and account executive helping maintain existing client relationships but also the acquisition of new vendors and clients. After Agro Meats, I was offered the role of an account executive at Bench Accounting and became their first external AE hire. This move placed me into the tech sales sector where I quickly found out I excelled greatly in. As an AE at Bench, I broke several major records and is consistently the highest performer on the sales team. My promotion to Senior AE allowed me to be more involved in the training and enablement side of sales, offering me the opportunity to not only individually contribute greatly, but to help others succeed. Most recently, I have joined the sales org. at Owner.com as an Outbound AE. Being recently listed by Forbes as one of their Next Billion-Dollar Startups, Owner.com is positioned for massive growth and I'm excited to help the company reach its next milestones! Ultimately, I am an established Account Executive known for consistently exceeding quotas and setting record-breaking metrics.
