About Anson Taylor

From a young age, I've wanted to help people when they were down. I've always shown interest in playing the healing role in any game, opportunity, or situation growing up and even today. My desire to help people from the sidelines turned to a desire to seek a similar role in my professional life in the future. Thus, the drive to become some form of doctor emerged. My love of medicine and science truly emerged in my education. I've had the opportunity to be taught in my Biology, Chemistry, Health Science, AP Biology, and Medical Anatomy and Physiology classes where I've fallen in love with scientific labs and the human body. Each of these classes I've passed with straight A's, always working hard in order to get as much out of each class as possible. I've pursued opportunities given through Professional Development courses in which I've learned much about various medical pathways and courses from professional speakers at UVU. My passion for science, medicine, and mathematics has been greatly beneficial in my various advanced math classes. As a Freshman, I completed SM3 and Pre-Calculus during the same year, setting me up for AP Calculus BC as a Sophomore and AP Statistics as a Junior. Additionally, I've cultivated and fostered an interest in books, reading, and writing where I've utilized in my AP English class. This multifaceted skillset I believe will aid me greatly in the future as I continue to explore and pursue the ever-expansive field of medicine and health care-an area that I am ensured to continue to learn and grow throughout my life for years to come.
