About Anssi Ruokonen

Currently serving as the Head of Data and AI at Basware, my role is centered on defining and implementing the company's AI strategy and policies. I am focused on fostering ethical and secure applications of AI across our operations, providing training and support to ensure responsible usage. My work involves aiding our business units in enhancing their processes with AI solutions, through both existing tools and new developments in collaboration with our AI partners. I also work closely with product management and R&D teams to integrate AI capabilities into our products, aiming to elevate Basware's offerings and internal AI expertise. Previously, I held the position of Chief Product Officer at Fluentic, a leader in AI-driven translation solutions and a Salesforce partner. In this role, I led the development of customer-centric products that enabled businesses to provide multi-lingual customer service in nearly 80 languages. My tenure was marked by leveraging my product development and management skills to translate our product vision into sustainable revenue growth. I hold certifications as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Agile Leader, with a deep knowledge base in business design, strategic planning, and digitalization. My interest in exploring the ethical implications of artificial agency reflects my commitment to responsible innovation.
