About Anthony Alfaro

When I was a kid, my favorite subject was science because our teacher would have the goofiest interactions when teaching the lessons. He encouraged me to take part in the annual science fair which ignited my passion for the STEM field. My experience in the science fair opened a whole new world of robotics and rockets which guided my path towards engineering. I was able to fully act on my passion when arriving at college where design, drones, rockets, rapid prototyping, and course projects were introduced. My excitement grew with every semester, eager to learn the new topics and equipment we would be using. Even during the challenging moments, I’d look forward to the type of solution I would come up with and come out on top. At the end of it all, I think back to how one man’s encouragement to participate in the science fair turned me into the engineer I am today.
