About Anthony Barraco

I am a graduate from Farmingdale State College, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. I enjoyed my college learning experience. It gave me the challenging opportunity to work with many different skilled professors, faculty and students alike. It also gave me the task of completing assignments and projects with different guidelines, a chance to work with many different people and necessary skills to network withing the College. While working on my senior project, Solar Thermal Demonstration Cart, I learned how to coordinate, estimate and schedule different aspects of the project. Managing reports and pretensions alongside the construction was a great way to develop my coordination skills. The project was completed and has been honored for several awards- CSTEP Eastern Regional's, 1st Place - SUNY Farmingdale Centennial Competition, 4th Place - Under-Graduate Acknowledgement Award, Farmingdale Energy Conference Along with attaining my college education, I currently work part time at an automotive repair shop, Dunrite - Roman Auto Collision. Here, I have learned how to take the utmost pride and responsibility when working with customers' vehicles. I have learned the necessary skills to assess and find solutions to problems effectively under pressure. I also have the responsibility to manage workers and their performance. Along with the hands on work, I also excel in providing excellent customer service with past, future and current customers.
