Expanded Welding curriculum by incorporating stick welding with existing TIG welders. The steam system includes a PRV, a Pneumatic control valve, a temperature control valve, and an automatic control valve. Water analysis determines chemical tank make-up. Students use a P & ID drawing to identify components in the system. Focus:HOPE • Assist in 3 megawatt expansion for Prime Power Co-generation Plant (1995) • Install and maintain gallon coolant filtration system for 36 CNC Machines (1995) • Install 1755 ft of steam piping to reduce energy costs and heat 3 more buildings using excess steam from the co-gen plant, eliminating a boiler of btu/hr input $498,567 • Remove 1 Manufacturing Bldg.(63,878 sq ft) from the DTE grid, install 750 KVA Transformer, new service entrance and add load to Co-Gen plant for a savings of per • Remove 1 Center For Children Bldg.(27,646 sq ft) from the grid and install a new feeder from the Co-Gen plant for a savings of $25,600 per year • Install 246 Tons of chilled water capacity and 60 tons of air handlers to provide comfort to the CAT Conf. Center (2002) • Install BTU of hot water air handlers for the Machinist Training. Institute shop floor $25,788 (2003) • Install Catalysts, Air Fuel Ratio Controllers, and Computer Upgrade for DEQ Reporting needed for engines in the Co-Gen Plant $200,656 (2004) • Install Machine and Laser Cell for Dept.
