About Anthony Brande

I am a compassionate paramedic that hold's a bachelor's degree in biology with over ten cumulative years of both professional and volunteer experience working in a variety of capacities in healthcare and emergency medical services. I am currently seeking employment as a paramedic in a high-volume emergency system, and eventually, matriculation to medical school. In addition, I have over two years of wet-lab experience with a variety of laboratory methods and biochemical assays. My undergraduate project studied the endocrine function of the novel model organism, the Three-spined Stickleback, in effort of measuring vertebrate health in the waterways of central Oregon. My project was partly funded through my Layman Fellowship award and scholarship and was presented to the Society for Ecological Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC). I hope to someday take the knowledge gained from both my experiences working in research, as well as with diverse populations in healthcare and apply them to a practice in medicine in effort of providing the most holistic and evidence-based medicine possible.
