About Anthony Bratzler

As an interdisciplinary Historian whose primary method is comparative History, I use the tools of any branch of human knowledge to strive toward a better understanding of human societies that can be then practically applied in the social world. • Graduate of the oldest University in the World, Master’s from the University of Chicago, and constant volunteer in any cause that can help society. I am on the unique mission of uniting the vastly separate universes of empirically-verifiable knowledge and extra-academic society. My goal is the betterment of the World. • In academia my objective goes far beyond producing innovative scholarship, as it also has a strong focus on imparting that knowledge to a new generation. I believe that teaching is the single most important duty an academic has, so I intend to continue my path through the classroom, from middle school educator now to tenured professor in the coming years. • Highly proficient in interdisciplinary perspective and methods: consilient research; multilingualism; social network analysis; comparative methodologies; archival appraisal; transcultural mediation; qualitative and quantitative analysis. Expertise: Ancient Roman, Renaissance, American History, Global History. • I am familiar with methodologies that most of the field is not, such as quantitative data analysis, ethnography, and double-blind experiments, among others. I have acquired these by independently seeking peers in different disciplines, learning from them, and actively incorporating their knowledge into my everyday work. • Simply put: I’m scouring the archives and libraries to produce innovative scholarship with greater accuracy than is currently published while discussing across disciplinary and national lines to weave a richer Historical tapestry. I'm working in the field and the classroom to implement the solutions that research has furnished me to effect a direct change in the World.
