About Anthony Brooks

As an experienced and dedicated educator and leader with a passion for student-centered, equity-focused teaching and learning, I am driven to make a transformative impact on school systems. My passion for education and dedication to student success drives me to pursue excellence in educational leadership. I am excited about future opportunities to make a lasting impact in the lives of students and educators alike. My journey in educational leadership includes serving as Principal at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels in Enfield and Hartford, CT. Throughout my career, I have honed my skills through various certifications, including the Neag School of Education's Executive Leadership Program at the University of Connecticut (Superintendent of Schools {093} certification). In addition, I hold Sixth Year Diplomas in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction, also through Neag. Most recently, I was selected from a national pool of candidates to participate in AASA's Aspiring Superintendent Academy. My dedication to creating positive change is evident in my accomplishments, including a citation from the Connecticut General Assembly, the Legislative Black and Hispanic Caucus, and the CWCSEO for fostering academic excellence in STEM. As a Principal, I have demonstrated a commitment to fostering high-quality instruction and facilitating data-driven decision-making to enhance student achievement. I take pride in collaborating with diverse stakeholders to create equitable opportunities for students. I am an active member of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA), the Connecticut Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (CALAS), and a Proud Brother of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc.
