About Anthony Caleb

I am a Molecular Microbiologist and Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology at the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo. I specialise in molecular diagnostics, microbial genomics, and infectious disease research, with experience in HBV genotyping and HIV surveillance studies. My passion lies in applying molecular biology tools to improve public health outcomes, especially in antimicrobial resistance, host-pathogen interactions, and disease prevention. I have hands-on experience with PCR, sequencing, microbial culture, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. ‍ As an educator, I am committed to shaping the next generation of scientists through effective teaching, mentorship, and collaborative research. I’m also interested in interdisciplinary work that bridges microbiology, biotechnology, and health policy. Always open to research collaborations, academic networking, and opportunities that contribute to advancing health sciences in Africa and globally.
