About Anthony Campo

As a United States Naval veteran and a former Deputy Sheriff, I have built a career marked by discipline, service, and a deep commitment to honor. My military journey began in 2012 when I joined the Navy, serving in the prestigious helicopter sea combat squadron HSC-14. This role took me across the globe, from the bustling streets of San Diego to the vibrant culture of Japan, providing me with a diverse and enriching experience. Transitioning from military to civilian life in 2016, I pursued my academic goals and earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. This academic milestone was a stepping stone into my law enforcement career, which I embarked upon in 2018. My journey in law enforcement has been diverse and challenging. I have had the opportunity to serve in county jails in Denver and Boulder, Colorado, handling responsibilities ranging from routine jail duties to complex tasks like extraditions, court duties, and managing the inmate population. In 2020, I returned my career to my roots in South Florida, joining the Broward County Sheriff's Office. I was assigned to the road patrol division in unincorporated Fort Lauderdale District 5. I gained valuable experience interacting with the community, investigating crimes in a high-crime area, and sharpening my communication skills. My journey through various roles in the Navy and law enforcement has equipped me with a unique set of skills and perspectives. I am proud of my service and even more proud of the men and women I’ve met along the way. This year, I chose to take a step back from my service commitments. After over a decade of dedicated service in uniform, I've decided to explore other passions calling me. This pivot in my journey has led me to pursue an MBA at Nova, where I am currently a student. It's an exciting shift that allows me to dive into new interests and broaden my horizons beyond my service background.
