The Consultative Process My consultative process begins with an in-depth discussion of your current finances and investment goals. I also help address important issues many investors often overlook, such as how to plan for changing market conditions and how to meet unforeseen expenses and income needs that may arise. The Investment Process The heart of my investment process is that I carefully analyze your portfolio seeking to determine prudent ways to reduce costs and enhance performance. Or as I like to say, “I take a strong microscope to your existing investment portfolio to pinpoint ways to maximize its potential.” To help trim costs, I review expenses associated with your portfolio, such as management fees and 12(b)1 marketing costs. Countless studies have shown that even the slightest reduction in costs can have a meaningful effect on your portfolio’s long-term return. To help enhance performance, I recommend a comprehensive asset allocation strategy that addresses a myriad of factors that can affect your portfolio’s investment results. Examples include over- and under-weighting in certain investment sectors, tax efficiency and diversification, to name a few. In creating this asset allocation strategy, I rely on the firm’s proprietary software. From there, I select among the firm’s premier roster of professional money managers and exchange-traded funds, among other investments, to invest those assets. I devote a significant amount of time to help ensure the recommended strategy best fits your unique needs.
