As a seasoned Regional Health and Human Services Director, I combine policy development and direct community engagement to drive health promotion initiatives. My experience spans from spearheading Tobacco Control regulations to supporting three substance use prevention coalitions to advancing food protection programs. My expertise includes grant acquisition, management, and evaluation, ensuring our programs remain adaptive in the ever-evolving landscape of Public Health. I am dedicated to promoting community involvement to achieve our shared mission of reducing and preventing disease, with a strong emphasis on improving capacity for environmental health, behavioral and mental health, and social services. Central to my approach is an unwavering commitment to equity and inclusiveness in all aspects of my work. I firmly believe that addressing health disparities and ensuring that marginalized communities have a voice and access to vital resources is paramount. My leadership role encompasses comprehensive staff and budget management, effective public communication, and managing compliance with regulations, while fostering collaboration with diverse departments, including public safety, recreation, and public works. My network of community partnerships and active involvement in local and statewide committees further underscores my dedication to advancing public health objectives with a keen focus on achieving equitable outcomes for all.
