About Anthony Collier

With a strong background in auditing, calibration & test laboratory management together with a proven track record in technical operations I am looking to transition into a new role. I have very recently been made redundant from my current post due to the sudden closure of BSRIA’s Northern facility due to restructuring. I have decided to view this unfortunate circumstance as an opportunity. I am an initiative-taking individual who always strives to achieve success; I believe my career path evidences this. For the past 23 years I have worked within a technical testing/calibration & quality-based environment, starting as a laboratory technician moving up to a Technical Operations Manager for a fast paced UKAS 17025 / ISO 9001 certified commercial calibration & product testing organisation within the building services sector. Dealing with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality, together with staff management, all in accordance with international standards using multiple data management software applications, has enabled me to become a successful manager. I have been performing high accuracy calibrations and detailed product test reports in a timely, high accuracy manner for a long time, ensuing KPI’s are met Working in technical laboratories in civil engineering & building services over the years has given me huge experience in a wide range of subjects and I believe I am a better manager and person as a result and one who can adapt/transfer my skills to any situation. I particularly enjoy efficiency drives and optimisation, seeing the benefits of this is highly rewarding as is the customer recognition for services provided.
